Mr Ibu health deteriorated in November 2023 due to an illness. After that, he had to go through seven surgeries and a leg amputation. Ibu’s family explained that his leg was amputated to keep him alive and to increase his chances of survival. Unfortunately, Mr Ibu (John Okafor) passed away due to a cardiac arrest on 2 March 2024. He was just 62 years old at the time of his passing.
