At age 55, Soundarya Jagadish allegedly took his own life on the Sunday morning of 14 April 2024. According to the police, at 9:30 am, he was found hanging in the utility area of the kitchen by Jagadish’s wife Rekha.
Then, he was rushed to the nearby private hospital. He was declared “brought dead” by the doctors at the hospital.
When Times of India (news portal) talked with DCP Saidulu Advath, they were told that an unnatural death case had been registered on behalf of Rekha’s complaint at Mahalakshmipuram police station. Family members have also confirmed that there was no suicide note. Further investigations are still ongoing.
Another police officer thinks that the cause of the alleged suicide was Jagadish’s recent business losses and the passing away of his mother-in-law just 15 days before his death. He also said that Jagadish’s mother-in-law used to live in the same house as him and the death affected him very deeply.
